If you love touring historic country clubs in the U.S., the Ridgewood Country Club will be an idea. It was formerly located in Ho-Ho-Kus but later moved to its current location, Paramus in New Jersey. The address of the club is 7301 Fish Pond Rd, Waco, TX 76710. It was initiated in 1980, and the fact that it has been present for more than a century has given it the privilege of being listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is a privately owned country club but gets income through subscriptions by people, especially those that love golf.

What is the Ridgewood Country Club Known For?

 1. The country club has a 27-hole golf course designed in 1929 by Clifford Wendehack. The golf course has been used by legends, including Bryon Nelson, who worked there in the 1930s. Whether you are a golf player or not, the club has exciting memories and significant history to learn from. It will be a privilege getting to the country club.

 2. It is known for grand championships held in the country. The incredible thing is that this club, unlike many, has tournaments across all genders and ages. These tournaments include; Men’s championships, women championships, husband and wife tournaments, junior boys’ championships, and competitions between the upper and lower teams.

 3. The club is known to host tournaments and championships for recognized organizations. These organizations include; Coca-Cola. The Barclays, U.S. Amateur Championships, PGA Championships, and the Northern Trust Tournaments.

 4. For the outstanding achievements it has had, the country club has received many awards and is recognized by various media houses and organizations. In 2000, the club was listed in the top 500 holes on the globe by the Golf Magazine. It has later been ranked 84th most prestigious club globally and recently 58th Classical in the U.S.
